The questions that matter

An alarm didn't ring. What do I check first?

The Log tab. NMAM writes a receipt for every alarm outcome: scheduled, fired, dismissed, snoozed, suppressed by quiet hours or the free tier, missed because the device was off, or failed to schedule. The receipt tells you which of those actually happened — that's the difference between diagnosing and guessing. If the log says fired and you didn't hear it, check your alarm volume; if it says suppressed — quiet hours, that was by design (mark the meeting critical next time); if there's no receipt at all, the meeting probably didn't pass your filters — the Alarms tab shows what was hidden and why.

My new Google Calendar event isn't in NMAM yet.

On iPhone, Google Calendar syncs by periodic fetch — there is no push. An event created on the web can take up to your fetch interval to reach the phone at all, and NMAM cannot see what iOS hasn't fetched. Fix: iOS Settings → Apps → Mail → Accounts → Fetch New Data → set your Google account to Fetch, every 15 minutes. For genuinely time-critical events, create them in a local iPhone calendar — those appear instantly.

The iPhone lock-screen alarm only shows "Stop".

That alert is drawn by iOS itself (NMAM uses Apple's AlarmKit, so its alarms get the system's own presentation). NMAM's full alarm screen — countdown, Join, snooze, and the snooze-proof challenge — appears when you open the app. Stopping from the lock screen is still recorded in the Log.

Alarms stopped working on my Android phone.

Almost always the battery optimizer. Some manufacturers (Xiaomi, Oppo, Samsung and others) silently restrict apps in the background, alarms included. Set NMAM's battery usage to Unrestricted / No restrictions in system settings — onboarding has a button that takes you to the right screen, and dontkillmyapp.com documents each brand's quirks. Also note: using "Force stop" on Android kills scheduled alarms until you next open the app — that's Android policy, not something any alarm app can override.

Nothing rings overnight — is that a bug?

That's quiet hours (23:00–06:00 by default). Suppressed alarms are logged, so you can see it happening. If one meeting must wake you, mark it critical on the Alarms tab and it rings through. You can change or disable quiet hours in the Calendars tab.

How do I cancel or get a refund?

Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play, so cancellation and refunds go through them: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Play Store → Payments & subscriptions. Refund requests are decided by Apple/Google under their policies — but email us too; if something's broken we want to know.

What data do you have about me?

From the app: none — your calendar never leaves your phone. See the privacy policy for the full picture, including this website's analytics.
